WGA and studios to renew negotiations

Three weeks into the Writers Guild strike, the WGA and studio execs have decided to return to the bargaining table to flesh out their differences. Talks between the two sides will reopen on November 26th.

The parties have not met face to face since last-ditch talks presided over by a federal mediator broke off and the strike began November 5 amid a flurry of finger-pointing, posturing and angry rhetoric on both sides. - from Yahoo.com

Here’s hoping things can be settled and a contract which fairly compensates writers will be scribed. Remember it’s not only writers that are being affected by this strike. When you shut down the production of films and television shows, there’s a whole lot of behind the scenes crew members that stand to suffer. With the holidays rapidly approaching, there needs to be a resolution to this strike or families of those crew members will feel the affects as well. Get it done, Hollywood.
