Juno wins Oscar and Spirit Awards

Juno, easily one of the most loved films of the past year picked up a few trophies recently at the Oscars and the Independent Spirit Awards. If you haven’t heard by now, here’s a list of the film’s most recent achievements.
Oscars
- Won the Oscar for best screenplay written directly for the screen.
- Juno was also nominated for Best Picture, Best Actress and Best Director
Independent Spirit Awards
- Best Feature. Other films nominated included The Diving Bell and the Butterfly and A Mighty Heart, among others.
- Ellen Page won for Best Female Lead in her role as Juno
- Diablo Cody picked up the award for Best First Screenplay
